Our speaker was Melissa Nesbit, Executive Director of Seneca Housing, Inc.
Melissa gave an overview of Seneca Housing and the services it provides. Highlights included:

• In the last few years, there has been a substantial increase in the need for housing assistance and a decrease in safe, decent and affordable housing.
• Over 6,000 square feet of space is available in the rear of their building in Seneca Falls.
• Goal is to raise enough funds to begin remodeling that space in order to convert it into affordable rental housing for low-income Veterans and their families.
• 65% of the households they assist have an annual gross income of between $5,000 and $14,999.
• Currently assist 387 families in Seneca County
• A fund raiser will be held on October 28, 2017 in the form of a formal Masquerade Gala at Bottomless Brewing, 3543 East Lake Rd., Geneva.
