Rotary Meeting of April 26, 2017

Our speaker was Tom Murray from the Muranda Cheese Company. Muranda Cheese produces all natural, raw cheese using only milk from registered cows raised on the Muranda Cheese farm. Tom started his Waterloo, NY farm 26 years ago as a dairy, and has grown it into the booming business it is now. Muranda currently makes 15 different raw milk cheeses. Muranda cheese is now served in Del Lago’s restaurants as well as many other local eateries. Because of the process they use to make their cheese, many lactose-intolerant people are able to eat it. After his talk, Tom shared cheese with us, and we were able to take some home!

His talk was following by some questions and some two-part questions, etc. Chris Lavin made some terrible milk/curd/cow puns while pretending to be totally innocent.

Following the meeting, he wrote the following note to the Secretary:

Mr. Secretary,

I intended to apologize to the club for my outrageous, milk-based puns at this meeting, but then found Mr. Austin’s humor so very cheesy by comparison that I have wheyed my options and since rescinded my desire to apologize!
